SEATTLE, Wash. — Extended restrictions announced by Governor Jay Inslee on restaurants will continue to pressure many already on the brink.

More than 2,300 have closed in Washington state since the pandemic started.

Anthony Anton of the Washington Hospitality Association told KOMO the hardest hit categories have been coffee shops and Asian restaurants.

As part of the three week extension of restrictions, Governor Inslee announced $50 million in economic support for the businesses that have been hardest-hit by the restrictions – like restaurants and fitness centers.
