WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Gas prices continue their downward trend in Whatcom County and Washington… for now.

Gas Buddy reports statewide, prices for unleaded regular are down almost 54 cents a gallon compared to a year ago and their lowest since 2015.

Analyst Patrick Dehaan predicts prices will start to inch back as COVID-19 vaccinations take hold and travel starts to increase.

Gas Price Watch’s reported Bellingham average of $2.75 is 45 cents higher than the national average.
