BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham night shift officers tracked down a Grinch who stole packages from a post office vehicle while it was being loaded Tuesday morning.
A postal worker at the Orleans Street post office was able to provide a description of the culprit and her distinctive Grinch-mobile.
On his way to respond to the call, Officer Marcus Subia stopped the car and saw stolen packages inside, some of which were open.
38-year-old Ember Collette Rose McLane was arrested on charges of burglary and mail theft and the unopened packages were returned to the post office for delivery.
Officers found the owners of the opened packages, divided the list and headed out making Christmas deliveries to the owners.
For now, all is well in Whoville.
