SEATTLE, Wash. — Local rivers are rising, and predicted to crest right at minor flood levels.
The USGS showed the Nooksack at Ferndale as 9 feet under minor flood stage at 4 a.m. Tuesday.
It is predicted to crest at 17.8 feet Wednesday at 4pm, just under the 18 foot minor flood stage.
The Skagit at Mount Vernon was already on the rise, but still nine and a half feet below minor flood stage.
It is forecast to crest about a half a foot into into minor flood stage early Thursday morning.
