BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A local manufacturer has been awarded a contract to build a marine research vessel.
All American Marine of Bellingham has secured a contract to build the vessel for Bluetide of Puerto Rico.
The twin-engine aluminum catamaran will be constructed for use on both near coastal and ocean routes, and will be used for research, education and conservation work out of Puerto Rico.
The vessel will help Bluetide to achieve and grow their efforts in the region.
