WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two local counties are newly eligible to apply for emergency ag loans.
The USDA last week announced Whatcom and Skagit Counties qualify for wildfire disaster loans as contiguous counties.
Emergency loan applications are open through August 18th.
A 30% reduction in a primary crop yield qualifies the producer for the loans.
