BELLINGHAM, Wash. — An incident that prompted officers to close James Street north of Sunset Square Thursday morning turned out to be a false alarm.
Police responded to a report of rifles hanging off of a vehicle in the Sunset Pond area.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy says they turned out to be BB guns and no arrests were made.
The road was closed for about 10 minutes.
