BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Local health providers are beginning to expand vaccine distribution beyond health workers, first responders and the most vulnerable.
Dr. James Bochsler with PeaceHealth says they’ve begun contacting their patients who fit in the 1-B-1 category.
Bochsler said they are going to send out email communications to all primary care patients who meet the criteria.
They’re also contacting their patients who aren’t primary care but are seeing a PeaceHealth specialist.
Sea-Mar Community Heath Centers and the Family Care Network are also contacting their patients.
But they all caution that people need to be patient.
Bochsler said they’re limited in every resource but they’re ramping it up as quickly as they can.
He added that they will be communicating with everyone as soon as they are able to get people in.
