ANACORTES, Wash. — A Sedro-Woolley man was taken to Harborview after he ran a red light and caused a crash in Anacortes Thursday evening.
State troopers say 40-year-old Richard A. Vaniterson ran the red at the intersection of 32nd and Commercial Avenue at 7:41 p.m. and collided with a car driven by an Anacortes woman.
He was severely injured but the other driver and her passenger were not hurt.
The State Patrol says intoxication was a factor in the crash.
