OLYMPIA, Wash. — Whatcom and the other counties in the Roadmap to Recovery plan’s North Region are moving to Phase 2.
Governor Inslee announced Thursday that all the state’s regions except South Central will move to the new phase on Monday.
Whatcom County Health Department Director Erika Lautenbach says restaurants can again welcome diners inside with limitations.
Indoor gyms and other businesses can also open at 25% capacity and slightly larger gatherings will be allowed.
Lautenbach says its a sign that we’ve been doing the right things.
She also has good news on the vaccination front, with Whatcom County receiving over 3200 doses this week after only getting 700 last week.
