LYNDEN, Wash. — Officials have canceled COVID-19 testing in Lynden Saturday, February 13, as Whatcom County residents brace for frigid temperatures and possible snowfall over the weekend.
The health department says testing scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Northwest Fairgrounds has been called off.
Whatcom Unified Command Incident Commander John Wolpers says the safest place this weekend is at home and off the roads, which will likely be icy.
Those with appointments will be notified to reschedule once testing resumes on Tuesday.
On Monday, COVID-19 testing will begin at the Bellingham Airport.
