BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County will not receive any first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this week.
The state is moving to prioritize second doses of the vaccine as officials say first and second dose amounts have gotten out of balance.
The Whatcom County Health Department says appointments for first doses will be very limited this week.
The state expects to be back to its previous distribution plans starting next week.
