BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police were the target of another protest Saturday.
The group Bellingham Occupied Protest Mutual Aid advertised the action on social media Friday, with a list of what they called “demands”, including amnesty for persons charged in the January 28th City Hall protest, permanent housing for all who need it and a full ban on encampment sweeps.
Video posted on social media showed a few dozen protesters dressed all in black near City Hall Saturday protesting.
Doug Gustafson, an officer of the local homeless advocacy group HomesNow and a critic of the protests, published protest photos Saturday of anti-police messages tagged onto nearby buildings, including the Bellingham Police Department.
