BOSTON, Mass. — The gas to fuel your road trips is more expensive this year.
Prices in Bellingham are now topping $3/gallon at even the low cost stations.
Statewide, gas buddy reports prices are 30.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 10.0 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
Analyst Patrick DeHaan said prices are staying up because OPEC surprised oil markets last week, extending oil production cuts for another month.
He forecasts further increases as the summer driving season approaches.
