JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Western Washington University grad is on the front lines of the U.S. Military’s fight against COVID-19.
Lieutenant Trevor Torres is a 2014 Western graduate and one of 139 service members assigned to Task Force Southeast – Jacksonville, the primary Department of Defense support organization for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in response to COVID-19.
Torres plans and organizes logistics for the personnel and equipment involved in vaccination site operations.
He says he is glad to work with some of the world’s strongest sailors who are willing to stare COVID in the face and “Lysol wipe it down” one day at a time.
