BETHESDA, Md. — A popular infant bath seat has been recalled due to safety concerns.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission found BATTOP Foldable Infant Bath Seats failed to meet federal safety standards for infants, including stability requirements.
It said the bath seats can tip over while in use, posing a drowning hazard.
The 5,000 seats were sold exclusively on Amazon between July and October 2020 for about $40.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant bath seats and contact BATTOP for instructions on returning the bath seats with free shipping to receive a full refund.
Amazon is contacting all known purchasers directly.
