OLYMPIA, Wash. — Some Washington counties may have to take a step back on the state’s Roadmap to Recovery plan.
Governor Jay Inslee said both the number of hospitalizations and infections are going up statewide and they’re concerned about several counties who may have to return to Phase 2.
At a news conference Thursday, Inslee said “we’ve let our guard down to some degree.”
But the good news is that Whatcom County appears to be meeting the case count and hospitalization metrics to stay in Phase 3.
All of Washington’s 39 counties are currently in Phase 3, meaning all indoor spaces, including restaurants, gyms and retail have been able to increase indoor service from 25% to 50% and some other larger gatherings are allowed.
