BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham police and fire responded to an incident involving a train and truck in Bellingham Tuesday morning.
BPD Sergeant Craig Johnson says police were called to the F street railroad crossing at 2:16 a.m.
When they arrived, they found an abandoned brown crew cab 4×4 pickup truck that had been hit.
A witness photo shows the rear axle damaged and the tail gate smashed in.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s office assisted in an attempted K-9 tracking of the driver, but was unsuccessful.
