BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It’s no longer against the law to breastfeed in public in Whatcom County.
The County Council voted unanimously to remove breastfeeding from the county’s indecent exposure law.
People speaking at the April 6th meeting were dumbfounded there was such a law.
The action brings Whatcom County code in line with Washington state law which also allows breastfeeding in public.
