SEATTLE, Wash. – UW Medicine researchers are looking for hound dogs and other breeds as they continue a study into canine aging.
They and their colleagues at Texas A&M University have been studying how biology, lifestyle and environment affect aging in dogs since 2019.
Since dogs and their human companions age together they expect to also gain insight into what affects how people age.
They’re mostly looking for large and giant breed dogs that are either purebred or mixed.
Breeds can include hound dogs, spaniels, pointers, terriers, bulldogs, and pit bulls.
They also want service or working dogs to take part.
Go to Home – Dog Aging Project for more information on types of dogs they’re looking for and how your pooch can take part.
