BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police have updated the status of the elderly man who went missing Wednesday
Mr. Stewart was found safe and sound and is being reunited with his family.
He was in a safe place he’d arranged for himself.
Bellingham Police were on the lookout for the missing man.
John M. Stewart is described as an 83- year old white male, 5′ 10″, 175 pounds, last seen wearing a yellow blazer over a black zip-up sweater, blue jeans, brown loafers and a cream Adidas baseball cap.
He was last seen Wednesday at 3pm on St. Clair Street in Bellingham.
Officers say he may have early dementia and ask for a 9-1-1call from anyone spotting him.
