OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Hospitality Association says it’s time to set a date to re-open Washington.
President and CEO Anthony Anton says Washington is one of only two states that don’t have a re-opening plan.
He said the Democratic governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have pledged to move forward by May 19th, California has announced it will move forward by June 15, and President Joe Biden said that the nation will be ready to move forward by July 4th, so it’s time to set a date for Washington to move forward.
He’s urging the public to sign a petition to Governor Jay Inslee to release a plan to fully re-open the state by June 15th.
The Hospitality Association represents the restaurant, hotel and entertainment industry.
