COUPEVILLE, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol blames excessive speed for a motorcycle crash that left a rider from Coupeville dead Saturday evening.
The rider was speeding on Race Road at about 6:30 when he lost control on a curve and hit a tree.
His bike spun back onto the road and hit a second rider who was hurt but treated at the scene.
The State Patrol identifies the rider who was killed at 41-year-old Matthew Blankenship.
