SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — A Sedro-Woolley police officer reached new heights recently.

Police and fire crews responded to a call reporting a female had climbed out onto her roof and could not get down or back inside.

The woman suffers from dementia and wasn’t sure how or why she climbed onto the roof.

Officers Moore and Rosser responded to assist, with Officer Moore climbing onto the roof to be with her.

The woman commented several times about making sure Officer Moore did not fall.

Officer Moore picked the woman up and handed her to Officer Rosser though an open 2nd-floor window.

Sometimes past jobs, like roofing, can come in handy in police work.
