BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Mount Vernon man for dealing narcotics and trading drugs for firearms.
Officers launched an investigation following a report in early June of a man and woman renting a storage locker outside of Bellingham and being in possession of narcotics, firearms and stolen property.
The witness said the man offered to sell them narcotics and gave them photos of the couple’s vehicles.
Deputies contacted 26-year-old Ricky Williams at the storage facility last Thursday and he gave them consent to search his vehicle and storage unit.
They seized methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin, along with 15 firearms and over 2300 rounds of ammunition.
Williams, a convicted felon, was arrested and booked into jail on numerous charges.
