WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Whatcom County’s vaccination rate continues to climb.

The Whatcom County Health Department reports just over 52% of the county’s total population is fully vaccinated.

That puts Whatcom in 4th place among the state’s 39 counties for residents who have gotten all their shots.

67% of eligible residents 12 and over have gotten at least one dose.

Pop-up clinics this week include the Old Lynden Middle School Gym from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday and on Lummi Island at Miller’s Farm from 10 a.m. to Noon on Sunday.

Many local pharmacies also have vaccines available and accept walk-ins.
