NOOKSACK, Wash. – A child was killed in a collision between a car and a truck on Highway 9 south of Nooksack just before noon Wednesday.
The State Patrol reports Silvia Martinez of Bellingham was driving south when she pulled off of the road and then back on into the path of the northbound truck.
A juvenile passenger in her car was killed and she was injured.
The truck driver from British Columbia wasn’t hurt.
Troopers say drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
