BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Crews will shift northbound I-5 traffic near exit 250 to Old Fairhaven Parkway onto a temporary bypass next week.

Overnight Tuesday, traffic will shift to a two-lane bypass running parallel to the I-5 mainline just like the switch that took place last month for the southbound lanes.

The speed limit will be reduced to 50 miles-per-hour while crews work on the Padden Creek fish passage project.

The southbound bypass will also remain in place until mid-July with a speed limit of 40 miles-per-hour.
