WHIDBAY ISLAND, Wash. – Four people are injured after a 3-car collision on Highway 20 Thursday afternoon near Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.
At approximately 1:30pm, a vehicle headed Southbound on Highway 20 crossed the center line, colliding with another vehicle travelling Northbound, causing the Southbound vehicle to spin out.
A third vehicle then collided with the vehicle travelling Southbound, which rolled over, and came to rest on its top in the Northbound lane.
The initially Northbound vehicle was then pinned between the guardrail and the third vehicle involved in the accident.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
