LYNDEN, Wash. – Whatcom County Public Works is warning tubers and other users of the Nooksack River of a potentially dangerous log jam.

The logjam is near Lynden’s Abbott Levee.

The Levee is east of Hannegan Road and about halfway between Everson and Lynden on the river.

Log jams combined with river currents can trap people under the water.
