A major airline is leaving Everett’s Paine Field Airport this fall, a travel website says.
The Points Guy says the Chicago-based carrier will discontinue flights from Paine Field October 5th, when the final flight departs to the airline’s Denver hub.
The airline told TPG that based on demand trends, it will suspend it’s one remaining flight to Everett but will continue to serve the region with non-stop services to Seattle from seven other major cities nationwide.
Going forward, TPG said, travelers will need to fly through SeaTac.
Of the major airlines, only Alaska and United offered flights from Paine Field.
Alaska Airlines will have the monopoly on the airport after United’s departure.
