The WSDA is asking you to be on the lookout for invasive insects!
State Officials recommend checking trees, lights, outdoor equipment, and standing water in your yard for harmful bugs.
Residents who find a suspected invasive insect are encouraged to take a picture and report it to the Washington Invasive Species Council via their website or mobile app.
The council will then connect them with organizations that can help.
Private owners of non-industrial forestland in Washington may also be eligible for assistance from Dempartment of Natural Resources programs.
