WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A Whatcom County woman has been sentenced to almost 2-and-a-half years in prison for stealing and forging checks, many of which were stolen from mailboxes.
Kristina M. Faires pleaded guilty to six charges in May while 23 other charges were dropped.
She admitted to stealing checks from mailboxes in 2018 and 2019.
She was sentenced in Whatcom Superior Court on Tuesday, August 10th.
