Local groups opposed to recently announced vaccine mandates for PeaceHealth workers will hold a protest at the hospital in Bellingham Wednesday.
Ashley Butenschoen with We Will Whatcom says the protests stem from concerns that employees will lose their jobs for choosing not receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
They’ll began protesting outside PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center at noon Wednesday.
PeaceHealth announced last week that it’s requiring all workers to be vaccinated, and Governor Inslee made vaccines mandatory for all health care workers in the state with an order on Monday.
