Expect more hot weather Friday.
The state Department of Health is advising people across the state to take precautions to stay cool.
Locally, cooling centers are available at county libraries in Lynden, Maple Falls and Deming.
Base Camp will have room to shelter up to 200 people in its air-conditioned facility, and its outreach team will hand out cold water and suncreen.
Everyone is warned to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun and in air conditioning if possible.
People working or spending time outside should take extra precautions.
