BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Lighthouse Mission’s Base Camp has seen an outbreak of COVID-19 cases.
The mission reports 14 guests of the shelter on Cornwall tested positive on Friday and Saturday.
Of the 14 guests testing positive for COVID-19, one guest had been fully vaccinated and is experiencing mild symptoms.
All those who tested positive and some of their close contacts have been taken to the city’s Isolation and Quarantine Facility.
Volunteer support is temporarily halted and only those staying overnight are allowed in its dayroom and courtyard.
The mission continues rapid testing of all guests and other safety protocols.
