BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The suspect in an August 15th drive-by shooting in northwest Bellingham is facing more charges.
Police Lieutenant Claudia Murphy reports officers executed a search warrant of Guillermo Vieyra Salas’ vehicle and found a stolen rifle, a pistol and lots of ammunition.
The loaded short-barreled rifle was reported stolen in a Sedro-Woolley burglary.
They also found three 45-round and three 30-round loaded magazines for the rifle, and a felony judgement from July in which Vieyra Salas pleaded guilty to assault.
He now faces stolen weapon and illegal weapon possession charges on top of the drive-by shooting charge.
He was already accused of firing almost 30 shots in the Birchwood neighborhood and also possessing cocaine early on Sunday, August 15th.
