CLALLUM COUNTY, Wash. – Two Olympic Peninsula counties will now require proof of vaccination to enter bars and restaurants.

The Health Officer for Jefferson and Clallum Counties issued the vaccination order, saying bars and restaurants bring together large numbers of unmasked people and this will keep them safer.

Everyone 12 and over will have to show proof of full vaccination to enter bars and restaurants in the counties starting Saturday, September 4th.

And King County’s health department has issued an updated rule requiring everyone to wear masks at outdoor events of over 500 people.

Masks are encouraged for everyone in any outdoor setting where social distancing can’t be maintained.
