OLYMPIA, Wash. – Gov. Jay Inslee is extending the state’s eviction protections through the end of October.
The current moratorium was set to expire September 30th.
He made the move over concerns that counties aren’t getting federal COVID-19 rental assistance funds out fast enough.
Evictions are still allowed if the landlord intends to sell or move into the property or if a renter causes health and safety issues to the property.
