The state’s utility shut off moratorium expires Friday, October 1st, but Puget Sound Energy says they’ll continue to help customers who are overdue on their bills.

In a statement, PSE said that they will be helping those customers by connecting them with resources and other information that will prevent utility shutoffs.

The company has also maintained COVID Bill Assistance Programs, which has provided over $30 million in aid for customers since the start of the pandemic.

PSE is also waiving late fees, security deposits, and other similar fees for the next 6 months for all customers.

CEO Mary Kipp said that PSE “has stood by our commitment to continue maintaining services to everyone who needs it.”
