WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Governor Inslee visited Whatcom County on Tuesday, October 12th, touring a tiny home village, a local clinical lab and Whatcom Community College.
Inslee took part in a roundtable discussion at WCC’s National Center for Cybersecurity Training and Education.
He says he is proud of the national attention the school has received and stressed the need to address a shortage in the cybersecurity workforce.

The governor and first lady Trudi Inslee toured the Gardenview Tiny Home Village and praised the city’s efforts to provide housing for people experiencing homelessness.
He also visited Northwest Laboratories, the lab that has handled the counties’ COVID testing throughout the pandemic.
The Herald reports health officials at the lab told the governor they are struggling with staffing issues and have been inundated with travel-related COVID tests.
Inslee says he will continue to pressure the federal government to open the U.S. – Canada border and further ease travel restrictions.
Proud to host @GovInslee today at Gardenview tiny house village, with partners @road2_home, @LIHIhousing, @Whatcomctygov. Our work together coupled with volunteer efforts means great strides forward on housing goals we all share. We are eager to welcome residents this month! https://t.co/qmSTvS7sCC pic.twitter.com/RTktnveTJo
