Land borders between the U.S., Canada and Mexico now have an official reopening date.

White House Press Secretary Kevin Munoz confirmed on Twitter that vaccinated travelers can enter the U.S. by land, rail, or ferry starting November 8th.

Earlier this week, the Biden administration announced the travel ban would be lifted after a 19-month hold on nonessential travel.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents will enforce travel requirements including proof of vaccination.

In a statement Thursday, October 14th, the Canadian Border Services said border measures remain in place for travelers entering or returning to Canada.

Measures include proof of vaccination uploaded to the ArriveCAN app and a negative pre-arrival COVID test from within 72 hours of arrival.
