BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association are looking for volunteers to come and celebrate Make a Difference Day at Whatcom Falls Park 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd.
Volunteers will be provided tools and instructions to plant native trees and shrubs and remove invasive plants with a goal of improving habitat and water quality in Whatcom Creek.
Tony’s Coffee will provide refreshments and Papa John’s will be donating pizza for the conclusion of the event.
Bellingham Mayor Seth Fleetwood will deliver closing remarks.
