WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol is detailing where officers were lost due to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
District 7, which includes Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, Island and Snohomish counties, saw ten officers leave rather than be vaccinated.
District 8 on the Olympic Peninsula and eastern Washington District 4 also lost ten each.
King County is down nine troopers while the district covering Pierce and Thurston counties lost 11.
The south central District 5 lost the most at 14.
District 6 in central Washington and south eastern District 3 lost the fewest at five each.
