BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police have arrested a man after he attempted to sexually assault a woman in his car.
Investigators say that 34-year-old Marcus Delgado Jr. drove with the victim to a parking lot early Monday morning, October 18th.
Delgado then tried to engage the victim in a sexual act.
When she refused, Delgado grabbed her throat and tried to force her to comply.
The victim was able to get herself to safety, where she called 9-1-1.
Delgado was later arrested at his home.
Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy added that Delgado had been arrested for a separate attempted assault in 2019, where he also threatened the victim with physical violence.
