WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Time to empty your medicine cabinet of unneeded prescription medications.
National Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, October 23rd, and there will be several drop-off locations in Whatcom County.
The Bellingham and Ferndale Police Departments will accept medications at their offices.
And the Sheriff’s Office will operate drop-off centers at the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce and Kendall Library.
Drop-off hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Drug Take-Back Day is aimed at preventing misuse of painkillers and other unneeded or outdated medications.
