BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two men picked a bad time to do a bad thing.

Court records state that Bellingham Police officers were conducting a K-9 training exercise in the Irongate area last Thursday night, October 21st, when an officer who was hiding behind a building heard glass breaking nearby.

He investigated and found Joseph Barr and Lincoln Allred leaving the scene with a bicycle.

Evidence led officers to conclude that the pair had broken into a business to steal the $2500 mountain bike.

Both face burglary and other charges, including an impersonation charge for Allred who initially told officers he was someone else.
