EL SALVADOR – State Senator Doug Ericksen says he tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after arriving in El Salvador recently and is stuck there.
The Ferndale Republican sent an email to fellow lawmakers asking for help in getting monoclonal antibody infusions.
He says that treatment, which has emergency authorization in the U.S., isn’t available in the Central American nation.
No other details about his condition are available.
Spokesperson Erik Smith does not have information about the nature of Ericksen’s trip to El Salvador.
