EVERSON, Wash. – Rescue crews continue to search for a man who got caught in the floodwaters early Monday, November 15th.

His daughter says Jose Garcia was caught in flood waters while driving to work on Main Street in Everson.

“As he was getting out of the car, that’s when he got swept away,” says Garcia. “He was on the phone with my mom and my brother and they were telling him to grab onto something. That’s when he grabbed onto a tree.”

The Everson Police Department reports that a resident on Shuksan Street heard someone yelling from a nearby field and called 911.

Search and rescue crews located his truck but he hasn’t been found.

Anyone with information on Jose Garcia’s location is asked to call 911.
