Wrestling teams from Whatcom and Skagit Counties are among many who attended four recent high school wrestling tournaments that have led to outbreaks of COVID-19.
The State Department of Health is investigating the high school tournaments held on December 4th in Lacy, Sumner, Puyallup and Yelm.
The Department says 80 to 90 cases of COVID-19 were traced back to those tournaments so far and that number may increase.
Both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals are among the confirmed cases.
Health officials are contacting schools that may have been directly impacted.
